About Me

Integrating knowledge of anatomy, breathing techniques, and trauma-informed cueing, I lead calming yet stimulating practices for all levels and create a space for students to feel empowered and at home in their bodies.

Emily Dalgo is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher based in Seattle, WA. She currently teaches weekly vinyasa and flow classes at 8 Limbs Yoga Center and Lululemon University Village Experiential Store. She has taught at the University of Washington through UW Recreation, where she also assists with UW’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Emily has extensive corporate yoga experience, having led classes for teams at Apple, Uber, Rover, and many more. As a Fitness Pro with Fitness Pro Travel Inc., Emily travels to teach yoga abroad at luxury resorts to guests from all over the world.

Style of Teaching

My teaching style embraces an "all levels" approach, meaning I aim to teach yoga to a room that may include both a complete beginner and a lifelong yogi. I always incorporate breathing exercises and functional warmup movements into my classes, and throughout the practice I invite my students to cultivate a practice of mindfulness through releasing self-judgement, finding curiosity in their physical and mental experience on the mat, and building self-trust to try new challenges or give themselves rest. I have taught everything from upbeat and athletic Vinyasa classes set to high-tempo music to gentle, trauma-informed flow classes that include journaling, breathing exercises for stress relief, guided meditation, and gentle movement to build confidence and still the mind.

“As a teacher trainer for Cloud Nine Yoga, I had the pleasure of observing Emily teach during her  200-hour training course.  She demonstrated an intuitive skill well beyond her experience in  guiding students through each quadrant of class - meditation and warm up, flow sequencing,  yin/restorative, and cool-down/savasana.  Her inclusive and welcoming cueing, pacing, tone and  presence were all on point.  She would make a valuable addition to any studio.”
